Kasese Police Investigates Saturday Night Murders

Samuel Odong, the Kasese Municipality Division Police Commander has called on the members of the public to help identify the bodies and volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of the masterminds of the killings.

Kasese Police are investigating circumstances under which four people were killed on Saturday night at three different locations. Jane Diana Nyamisango, the Rwenzori East Deputy Regional Police commander, says three of the he dead were killed in a similar manner.

Two of the bodies including one for a female and another for a female were found on Saturday morning at Base Camp Lower in Central Division in Kasese Municipality.  The third body was found in Kyanjuki cell, Nyakabingo ward in the same division.

According to Nyamisango, another man was killed for yet unknown reasons during a fight at Kajwenge village in Kisinga sub-county. Nyamisango says the three bodies recovered from the municipality were handcuffed and stuffed in sacks. She says they also recovered a red Bajaja Boxer motorcycle registration number UED 149S at Base Camp. 

Two suspects have been arrested to help police investigations into the killings in the municipality. Three others are being in connection to the killing at Kajwenge village.  Police have handed over the recovered bodies to Kasese Municipal Health Center III for postmortem.
