Kayihura Condemns Raid on Police Post

The Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura has condemned last night's attack on Kidodo police post in Kasese town. Kayihura rushed to the outpost this afternoon following the attack, which claimed the life of a police officer, Charles Kasimba and one of the attackers identified as Mbusa. Another police officer, Nelson Bwambale sustained injuries in the attack.
 
Kayihura described the raid on the police post as an attack on the state and the citizens.  He however, blamed the raid on the poor deployment at the police post. The IGP warned all those involved in destabilising the area, saying the strong arm of the law will catch up with them. 

Kayihura assured the residents that they will investigate the attack and ensure all the perpetrators are brought to book. He directed the local police officers to work with all stakeholders to boost security in the area. Kayihura visited the injured police officer, Nelson Bwambale at Kilembe mines hospital where he is admitted.
