He disclosed that the technical bench has already listed eight players that it will recommend to the management to drop. Nsimbe, who helped his team retain the League title, explained that they have realized some players are not helping the team. He says they need to have a formidable squad because of several engagements in the new season starting with the 2014 Cecafa Kagame Cup in Rwanda.

Nsimbe, a former KCCA FC and Cranes midfielder said they want to build a strong squad that will be a force to reckon with in African football. He explained that they lost out in the first round of the CAF Champions League this season to Zambia’s Nkana FC, but want to be stronger next year in the same tournament and their target is the group stage.

The club already lost first choice goalkeeper Jamal Salim Magoola to Sudan League Champions El merreikh. However, insiders told URN that Cranes striker Brian Umony who was recently dropped by Tanzanian champions Azam FC is negotiating with the club for a possible return.
