In the draws made this afternoon at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt, KCCA FC have been placed in Group A alongside Club Africian (Tunisia), FUS Rabat (Morocco) and Nigeria's Rivers United.

Although Mike Mutebi's team ejected another North African team Al Masry (Egypt) 4-3 on penalties to qualify for the group stage, they will face another uphill task in the group. KCCA FC will travel to Casablanca, Morocco to face FUS Rabat in the first match between May 12-14th before hosting Club Africian between May 23-24th in Kampala.

In June between 20-21st the Ugandan giants will be away to the Nigerian team that ejected Rwanda's Rayon Sport last weekend to make the group stage. Between June 30 and JuIy 1-2 KCCA FC will host FUS Rabat before traveling for their last group game against Club Africian the following weekend.

KCCA FC's captain Denis Okot admitted that their group is one of the toughest groups. "We need to do a lot of home work for the teams in our group especially the North African teams," he added.

Defending champions TP Mazembe of DR Congo have been grouped alongside Supersport United (South Africa), CF Mounana (Gabon) and Horoya AC (Guinea) in Group D. Group C has Zesco United (Zambia), Clube R.D do Libo, Al Hilal Elobeid (Sudan) and Smouha (Egypt). South Africa's Platimum Stars who ejected Uganda's Vipers SC are in Group B alongside MC Alger (Algeria), Mbabane Swallows (Swaziland) and CSS (Tunisia).
