Coach Ibrahim Kirya's SC Villa will face a tough test when they face Kira Young FC in the Azam Uganda Premier League on Tuesday.
SC Villa who last won the League title in 2004 are determined to register a win in-order to brighten their chances of winning the title. But their opponents placed 13th on the log are also battling to stay in top flight football or slip into the lower division.
Kirya told URN on Tuesday that they will not take Kira Young for granted when they battle at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. The coach who took over last month after Sam Ssimbwa was axed said they need to take their chances and win the game before they face SC Vipers on Friday.
SC Vipers who have been dominant for most of the season lead the table standing on 63 points, while SC Villa who have a game in hand are second on 61 points. Former Turkey based professional player Hassan Mawanda Wasswa told URN that he is hungry to win the League title with SC Villa.
In the other games on card URA FC who are fourth on the log will also be away to Entebbe FC. Coach Alex Isabirye's side will be eager to return to winning ways after falling 1-0 away to defending champions KCCA FC last week.
Rwenshama FC who are already relegated will battle Soana FC, while Lweza FC host ninth placed Sadolin Paints FC in the other games.
