President Yoweri Museveni has warned that the Lord's Resistance Army rebel leader, Joseph Kony will be killed if he attempts to attack Uganda again. Museveni made the warning last evening while passing out 2,044 former militias at Singo Training School, in Nakaseke District. The militia forces comprise of former Amuka, Arrow Boys, the Acholi Boys and some local defence unit personnel. They were recruited into the auxiliary force to guard Internally Displaced People's camps and roads from possible attacks by Lord's Resistance Army rebels. President Museveni hailed the militias for supporting the Uganda People's Defence Forces-the UPDF- in the fight against the LRA rebels. He said that Kony and his LRA rebels are almost defeated and the insurgency in the north would be completely finished very soon. In his end of year/new year message to the nation, President Museveni said Kony had been defeated and the insurgency would be completely finished by March this year. Some rebel forces under the command of LRA's second in command, Vincent Otti have fled into the Democratic Republic of Congo while Joseph Kony remains holed up in Southern Sudan. The President also warned that he would not tolerate critics who meddle into military matters. //Cue in: iOba omuntu yetaga# Cue out: #okutabula wano ebyo byaddai// The new officers will be deployed to guard Internally Displaced People's Camps.
