Kumi University is to receive 600,000 U.S. dollars for the construction of three student dormitories. The Vice Chancellor of Kumi University, Dr. Sang Cheol Lee, told journalists today that the money was donated by the Korean Food for the Hungry International. He said that once complete the new dormitories will house a total of 160 students. Dr. Lee disclosed that the construction of the dormitories is part of a wider expansion program at the university. He said Kumi University is to introduce six new faculties next year. They are the faculties of law, human resource manage, public administration, secretarial studies, community development and linguistics. The faculties of medicine and electrical medicine will be opened in 2008.
