10 students were suspended from the same school about a week ago for alleged indiscipline. Andrew Opio, the student's coordinator said the strike could have been avoided if the administrators had listened to complaints raised by the students.

According to Opio, the students have for long been complaining to management over some issue without any response.

Last week, more than 300 students of Aduku SS in Apac district were also suspended for staging a violent strike protesting a ban on wearing mini- skirts and tight fitting uniforms.
