Police in Lira have arrested two students for allegedly selling marijuana to neighboring schools. Allan Okada, and David Ogwang, both S4 students at Savior senior Secondary school in Lira Municipality, were arrested on Monday following tip off by the school headmaster, Johnson Adupa. Adupa says each of the two students was found with more than five kilograms of marijuana in their suit cases, during an impromptu dormitory inspection. The inspection was in response to complaints about a stinging marijuana smell emanating from the school especially at night. The students were picked from the examination room shortly after they started their mock examinations. The district police commander, Raymond Otim, says the preliminary investigation show that the students were being used by drug dealers to distribute the drugs. Otim says the students would be charged with Drug trafficking.
