Moses Bakaya, an election supervisor for Mayoral candidate, Erias Lukwago has been arrested in Kawempe division for engaging in election malpractices.
Bakaya was jointly arrested with Nnalongo Fatuma Nakanwagi, Joseph Busulwa and another man whose identity had not been identified.
Bakaya was picked at mid-day from Kiganda zone while on his day’s official duty.
Ben Mukasa, another supervisor says�Bakaya was picked a few meters from Ssebamba’s polling station in Kiganda zone. Mukasa says he was grabbed by three men and bundled up on a parked car, which drove off to Kawempe police station.
Paul Mugisha, the criminal investigations officer at Kawempe Police station, says the files of the three suspects are being handled by the Central Police Station. he however says that the trio is being accused of election malpractice.
Ibin Sekumbi Kampala deputy police spokesman says Nnalongo Fatuma Nakanwagi Nnalongo is facing charges of campaigning at the polling station, while Joseph Busulwa is facing charges of impersonation.
The charges against Bakaya are still shady.
