As the celebrations to mark Kabaka’ coronation draw nearer preparations for the function at Mawogola County where the main event is going to be held are in high gear.
 
The Mawogola County Chief Owekitiibwa Salongo Felix Kabajjo has instructed all sub county chiefs in the county to do their best to complete reconstruction and painting of all sub county headquarters before Monday.
 
Owek Felix Kabajjo made the call while delivering his speech during a meeting chaired by the chairperson of the Coronation organizing committee Omukungu Emmanuel Ssekimpi. The meeting was also attended by the district security authorities.
 
He says that many structures at several sub county headquarters are in a poor state and they need to be renovated and painted before the coronation which is scheduled for 31st this month.
 
Ssembabule Resident District Commissioner Joseph Ssekabiito says that everything is set and the District is ready to host the 21st Kabaka coronation ceremony.
 
He says that over 1500 police officers are going to be deployed in the area to ensure that security of the Kabaka’s and his subjects that are going to attend the function is secure.
 
The chairperson of the organizing committee Emanuel Ssekimpi says that they are in final stages of the preparations for the function calling upon all Kabakas’ subjects to turn up in big numbers to welcome the King.
 
Several ways leading to the district are covered by structures known as “Ebiyitirirwa” and Kabaka’s subjects spend days and nights drumming and jubilating as a sign of welcoming the Kabaka
 
 The Kabaka’s 21st coronation is going to be marked on 31July at Mawongola County under the theme “Health and Hard working people, is Buganda’s pride”.
