Micho said he thought his team did not play so well in the 2-0 loss to Guinea. The coach reasoned that the players failed to stick to the game plan and showed lots of irresponsibility in the way they conceded the first goal. He also faulted the attitude of the Senegalese referee as well.

Germany based Ibrahima Traore and Sounah Seydouba scored for Guinea to sink the 10-man Cranes team that had skipper Andrew Mwesigwa sent off. Although the coach did not want to explain his next move, he said Uganda still has chance to perform at the highest football levels on the African continent.

He said Uganda will have to go back to the drawing board and find a formula to break the Afcon qualification jinx.
