SC Vipers who have showed lots of consistency through out the season were crowned champions in Buikwe yesterday as they finished the season on 69 points, four ahead of SC Villa.
Miya who also scored the lone goal in the Uganda Cranes 1-0 away win over Nigeria in an International friendly encounter in March told URN that it is not by mistake that they won the title but hard work.
The striker who finished the season with 11 goals, third on the scorers chart and voted Most Valuable Player of the season said they have what it takes to play in the CAF Champions League next year. Miya praised their coach Edward Golola who he said got the right tactics and motivated the team well to get the results.
Kira Young FC lost 2-1 to army side Simba SC to join Rwenshama FC and Entebbe FC in the lower Division. The three sides will now feature in the lower Division next season as Maroons FC, The Saints and Jinja Municipal Council play in the top Tier.
In the other games played on Tuesday URA FC stopped Express FC 2-1. Robert Ssentongo who completed the season as the top scorers with 14 goals netted one of the goals, while Feni Ali scored the second goal. John Ssemazi picked the consolation goal for Express  FC.
Erisa Sekisambu netted the lone goal for SC Villa in their 1-0 win over Bright Stars FC, while Lweza FC registered a 1-0 win over KCCA FC at the Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo. Soana FC also made sure they stay in top flight football with a 1-0 win over Police FC, while Sadolin Paints and SC Victoria University settled for a goalless draw.
