It emerged however that Reagan Okumu, used his position as the Chairperson of Acholi Parliamentary Group to take charge of the distribution of hoes in Gulu Municipality. He accused the area MP Christopher Acire of failing to effectively represent the people of Gulu both in Parliament and in the community.
But today, the intended beneficiaries protested against the act and demanded that Okumu hands over the hoes to Christopher Acire, the rightful representative of the people of Gulu Municipality.
Walter Odong, one of the demonstrators demanded police action against Okumu.
