Pictorial: Museveni Commissions National CCTV Project

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni launched the National CCTV project during independence days with the aim of boosting security surveillance in the county in the fight against crime.

Museveni was taken through a guided tour in the control room at the new Natete Police building. The officers also explained to the presidents how the 359 cameras installed in various parts of Kampala District will work.

The project whose implementation began in June 2018 is still in its first phase targeting Kampala Metropolitan Policing area which covers Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono District.
