Museveni Promises Maracha 3 Secondary Schools

National Resistance Movement (NRM) party Presidential Candidate, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has pledged to construct three new secondary schools in Maracha district.
 
Museveni says the district has only five secondary schools which are not evenly distributed in the seven sub-counties and one town council. 

He made the pledge at during his campaign rallies in Maracha, Terego and Koboko.

The President first addressed the people of Terego East County and thereafter proceeded to by Maracha County, followed by Maracha East County and concluded his campaigns for Tuesday in Koboko Municipality.
 
Museveni observed that Maracha district needed to have a secondary school per sub-county.
 
The sub-counties that lack any secondary schools are Tara, Olevu and Maracha Town Council.
Currently the district has secondary schools in Otravu, Yivu, Maracha, Oleba Seed and Nyadri Urban.

According to Musveni, he gave Maracha two counties to ensure their effective representation in Parliament.
 
The National Resistance Movement party flag bearer for Maracha County MP seat, Louis Richard Angualia says the secondary schools are long overdue.
 
"Museveni's pledge will improve education infrastructure in the district," Angualia said.
