Museveni Urges Enterprenuers to Wade Off Sabotuers

President Yoweri Museveni, has urged small business entrepreneurs to wade off saboteurs who intentionally cause them losses. He was addressing members of Savings and Credits Cooperatives from Wakiso and Kampala district on Wednesday.
 
Museveni singled out opposition politicians who mobilise people to demonstrate in Kampala and Wakiso district and corrupt SACCO officials as some of the saboteurs.

Museveni cautioned opposition politicians against disrupting the business environment by organizing politically motivated demonstrations, since most of the traders use loans borrowed at high interest rates from commercial banks.
 
He donated Shillings 100 million Zana and Bwebajja Market SACCOs each, among others. He also donated a grinder, drill and Welding machine to Katwe Welders Association, which is comprised of more than 500 members.

Rose Nampijja, the Chairperson Zana Market SACCO called for the construction of a modern market to enhance their business opportunities and accommodate more members.

According to Nampijja, Uganda National Roads Authority-UNRA has repeatedly asked traders operating along the road reserve to vacate but they have nowhere to operate from.
