In short
This morning, Nadduli drove to Luweero district headquarters and handed over the vehicle to Ndawula in the presence of the Chief Administrative Officer, Eustace Gakwandi and other leaders. He said there was no need to hang on to the vehicle since he had received another one following his appointment as minister without portfolio.

Abdul Nadduli, the newly appointed Minister without portfolio has finally surrendered the official vehicle of Luweero LC V chairperson. Nadduli has been hanging on the vehicle registration number UG 3197R since he handed over office to his successor, Ronald Ndawula on May 27th.

He declined to handover the vehicle, saying he needed it for mobilisation and monitoring programs in his capacity as the National Resistance Movement-NRM party vice chairperson in charge of Central region. His decision to hang on to the vehicle drew sharp criticism from his successor and residents.

They accused Nadduli of violating the Public Service Standing orders, which require leaders to relinquish government property while leaving office. Ndawula argued that Nadduli's decision could also raise audit queries. Due to the failure by Nadduli to surrender the vehicle, Ndawula resorted to walking to office.
He also decided to skip some official activities citing lack of transport. This morning, Nadduli drove to Luweero district headquarters and handed over the vehicle to Ndawula in the presence of the Chief Administrative Officer, Eustace Gakwandi and other leaders.

Currently, Nadduli uses a land cruiser Prado vehicle registration number UG 2228C. The car was formerly used by Richard Tadwong who was serving as Minister Without Portfolio.

However, Police had to impound vehicle from Tadwong in April 2016 since he had also refused to surrender it following his appointed as Deputy NRM secretary.

Ronald Ndawula, the Luweero LC 5 Chairman has acknowledged receipt of the vehicle and hailed Nadduli for complying with the Public Service Orders to return the car.
