John Nasasira, the Minister of Works and Transport, has appointed a six-man committee to investigate the helicopter crash in Bugiri.
The committee is being chaired by Retired Col. Chris Mudhoola. Other members on the committee are, Henry Kitaka, the Principal Airworthiness Inspector with the Civil Aviation Authority - CAA, Abubaker Muganzi ,a Senior Airworthiness Inspector with the CAA, Godfrey Wangwa, the Senior Superintendent of Police an aircraft engineer, Franco Ganora a representative of Augusta Westlands and Kalumba Kagawa an Assistant Commissioner air transport regulation in the Ministry of Works and Transport.
On Monday, Prime minister Apollo Nsibambi, was injured in a police helicopter crash, while returning from Lwakhaka border, where he had been receiving 150tonnes of relief items meant for Budada land slide victims.
Susan Kataike, the works Ministry spokesperson, says the committee has been tasked to establish the cause of the crash.

The Prime Minister Prof. Apollo Nsibambi together with the helicopter pilot Emma Busulwa are still admitted to Mulago hospital.
