Comments 716 Views Kampala, Uganda

Every year, thousands of scouts from all over the world gather at the National Scouts Camping site in Kaazi, a suburb of Wakiso district.

The event this year attracted more than 500 scouts from all over the world over the last one week. It was used to equip young scouts in life skills that include public speaking, ICT, life mindset change.

Scouting is an international movement that aims to support young people in their physical, mental and spiritual development with strong focus on outdoor and survival skills. The movement was founded in 1907 by Baden Powell and started in Uganda by an Anglican Missionary Reverend Canon Henry Myres Grace in 1951 at Mbarara High School.

Uganda Radio Network attended the closing ceremony of this year's camp at Kaazi and brings you a pictorial from the event.,
