Nemostars for 2013 Rwanda Genocide Memorial Volleyball Event

Nemostars, Uganda’s top men’s Volleyball team is scheduled to participate in the 2013 Genocide Memorial Tournament in the Rwandan capital Kigali. The tournament which takes place from June 1 to 2 will attract clubs from Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, Burundi and hosts Rwanda. Anthony Ndawula, the coach of Nemostars says the National League champions will use the experience they picked from Libya last month where they participated in the Confederation of African Volleyball Men’s Club Championship.
  
They finished in eleventh position out of the seventeen teams. Ndawula says that they gained lots of exposure in Tripoli and will be a hard team to beat in Rwanda adding that, the team has been working so hard ahead of this event. Smith Okumu, the deputy team skipper says they are eyeing the top three spots saying once they make it they would have achieved their goal. Undefeated in the league’s regular season in 23 games, Nemostars currently lead the 10 team logs with 15 points out of their 5 outings.
 
Okumu says the team is in tip top form with no injuries. He says they want to give their best in Rwanda. Okumu believes that the experience the team acquired in Libya will help them put on a better show in Kigali. Nemostars will lead a delegation of eight teams from Uganda which also includes national women champions Ndejje Elites.
