Three people were killed on spot and ten others injured after a taxi registration number UBD 584R they were traveling on board to Soroti from Mbale overturned following a tyre burst.

The Mukura death toll has increased to five.



Two more people died on their way to Soroti Regional Referral Hospital following the morning accident at Mukura trading center in Ngora district.

Three of the deceased have since been identified as Naume Amunyal, a resident of Mukura, Nathan Opio from Pallisa and Eddy Musana, a lecturer at Uganda College of Commerce in Soroti and resident of Tororo.  
  

 
Michael Odongo, the East Kyoga Region Police Spokesman, told Uganda Radio Network that they are yet to establish the identities of the injured accident victims because they are still in critical condition.
