One person has been killed in an ambush staged by Karamojong warriors, on a state house vehicle in Kotido district.
The Minister of state for Karamoja affairs, Aston Kajara, says the vehicle registration number UG 0909C, was attacked at Toror hills, 30 kilometers to Kotido town.
Kajara says the driver, was shot and killed, while two other people Peter Lokiru and Levi Abura escaped unhurt.
The presidential assistant on Karamoja disarmament, Michael Lokuwa, says the driver was shot as he was transporting two directors of Gum Arabica Co-operative society from Moroto to Kotido. The two directors were heading to Kotido to for a training session there.
The Third Division Army Spokesperson, Lt. Henry Obbo, says the army is pursuing the suspected warriors.
