Thugs Kill one, Injure Three Others in Luweero

One person has been shot dead and three others injured critically in a robbery attack at Kiddukulu trading center in Luweero district. The incident occurred on Friday night. The dead has been identified as Joel Tamale whereas the injured are George Ssemango, his wife Justine Nakakawa and a one David, all residents of Kiddukulu trading center in Makulubita Sub County.

He says George Ssemango was shot on the head when he opened the door to see what was happening outside. His wife, Justine Nakakawa was hit on the arm whiling pulling her husband back into house on learning that they were under attack. Kyewalyanga says the thugs later attacked a bar belonging to Kenneth Masembe where they shot a reveler only identified as David and robbed cash from the patrons.
 
 
They also robbed more than two million Shillings from the bar and shop before they took off on motorcycles. Charles Kalibbala, the Makulubita sub county LC 3 chairperson, says police arrived when the thugs had already taken off. The injured have been transferred to Mulago Referral hospital for surgery. Eyewitnesses say there were around four robbers, two of them armed.
 
 
Lameck Kigozi, the Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson, says police detectives are on ground to investigate the incident. Joel Tamale is the fourth person to be killed in robbery attacks in Luweero since this year begun.





The other victims are Corporal Hussein Ssewaka, the Officer in charge of Kakinzi police post, Charles Ssegawa, a local trader in Butuntumula Sub County and Margaret Nakafeero a resident of Bulyankuyege in Katikamu Sub County.  

Police are yet to apprehend any suspect in connection with the robberies.
