The youth were for a meeting of all opposition political party youth leagues at Kiwatule Recreation Center in Kampala says their views can not be well articulated if their are represented by their respective parties.


Kennedy Oluma the Secretary General of the Uganda Federal Alliance says the youth will have a meaningful representation to the Alliance if their representatives were.

Robert Mugabe a member of the Candidate Selection Committee of the alliance says that the youth in the opposition need to unite for them to have a formidable force.

The youth resolved to carryout consultations in their various political parties over the possibility of forming the Democratic Alliance youth league.


Harris Akampurira a representative of the youth from FDC says that they need to first harmonize internal challenges within the youth leagues before committing fully to the activities of the Democratic Alliance.

Rev. Zac Nyiringiye the director of  the Democratic Alliance(TDA) Secretariat told the youth that the alliance is open to any recommendations that the youth front.

The youth also castigate the continuous representation of Amama Mbabazi's NRM pro-change pressure group in to the alliance yet it is yet to append its signatures in support of the TDA protocol.


Douglas Muganga Katosi a member of the Forum for Democratic Change youth league says that the alliance needs to make a communication on the status of Amama Mbabazi. signature to the protocol.

The youth are expected to submit their suggestions about forming  the Democratic Alliance  youth summit to the Democratic Alliance secretariat by Monday next week.
