Parliament Week; Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service in Pictures

The Parliament week entered has entered the third day today, as parliament moves to bridge the gap between the institution and the public.

Yesterday, the week brought together dignitaries from various religious denominations for the annual ecumenical thanksgiving service. Among others, the prayers were attended by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda (CoU) His Grace Stanley Ntagali, the Retired Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese Edward Muhima and a team from the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, among others.

During the rest of the week, several activities aimed at bringing members of the public closer to Parliament have been outlined. Anyone who needs to meet their representatives in Parliament, can use this opportunity as part of the meet your MP sessions. Also planned is a panel discussion involving local council chairpersons, and an exhibition showcasing the works of different Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
