Bus Carrying Pilgrims Catches Fire

Pilgrims traveling aboard a California bus to Kampala survived death, when the bus caught fire and burnt to ashes last night.
The bus, registration number UAP 950Z was carrying 65 people from Arua, when it caught fire on at around 1am, half a kilometer after crossing Packwach Bridge.
According to the owner of the bus, Salvatore Embatia, the bus started producing flames forcing the driver to stop.
He says there was a short circuit that sparked off fire in the boot.
The passengers were then quickly evacuated.
According to Embatia, the bus burnt beyond repair. He blamed the short circuit to the bad road from Nebbi to Packwach. 
Josephine Angucia, the police spokesperson for North Western Region told Uganda Radio Network that some luggage was rescued.

According to Embatia, the bus that got burnt costs over 500 million Shillings.

The passengers have been transferred to another bus and are on their way to Kampala.
