Kalisizo Grade One Magistrates Court will decide Pastor William Muwanguzi’s fate today.

Court will rule whether Pastor Muwanguzi is guilty or not of impersonation and attempted escape from prison charges.

The case has attracted a lot of attention and court is already packed with people waiting to hear the judgment.

Muwanguzi and his co-accused Julius Mukasa concluded their defence last Thursday by denying all the accusations.

Susan Awidi, the Kalisizo Grade One Magistrate, set the judgement on 12th December 2013 for both Muwanguzi who called himself Lwazi Paul Mwamba from Kenya and Mukasa who claimed to be a priest from Bushenyi.

Muwanguzi was also denied bail and remanded several times until the judgement scheduled Thursday.

It is said that on 9th November 2013, Muwanguzi and Mukasa posed as Catholic priests from Kenya. They organized an unauthorized Charismatic Renewal prayer service at Nabisere Hotel in Kalisizo town council with intent to extort money from the innocent faithful.

They were arrested and taken to court and later remanded to Kalisizo Government Prison where Muwanguzi attempted to escape. But prison warders arrested him and took him to police where he was charged with attempted escape and causing malicious damage to government property.
