Pictorial: Remembering Bishop James Hannington

The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace, Steven Kazimba on Thursday joined the Bishop of Busoga Diocese, Paul Naimanhe, Central Busoga Diocese Patrick Wakula and their counterpart from Bukedi Diocese Samuel Egesa in celebrating the life of James Hannington, a British Missionary who was killed from Kyando village, Mayuge district in 1885.

The event was also graced by the Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi and the Speaker of parliament, Rebecca Kadaga. The two national leaders promised to lobby government support for the facelift of Bishop Hannington site into a religious tourism centre.
