Police in Lira has detained a woman for questioning over the mysterious death of her ex-husband on Sunday night. Lucy Acung, a resident of Lango Qua-ran village in Lira Municipality, is wanted in connection to the death of Jaspher Abila alias Dr. Lingtai.

 
Abila was found dead in Olilim guest house on Sunday. The deceased’s body was found with a huge stab wound in the neck, according to his relatives. Agnes Apio, an eye witness says that on the fateful day at around 11 am the deceased had bitter exchange of words with Acung.  She explains that a few minutes after Abila dropped dead when he was trying to seat down.

 
Peter Odyek Okulla, a relative to the deceased says that they were shocked after realizing that his brother was stabbed in the neck. However, police dismisses this as untrue. Odyek says the deceased’ body has been taken to mortuary at Lira regional referral hospital pending further investigation.



Acung denies having a hand in the death of her ex husband and father to her son. Henry Alyanga, Central North police spokesman, says that Acung has temporally been charged with murder pending further investigations. Alyanga says that they have dispatched a team of detectives from the homicide department to investigate cause of the death.
