Police Makes U-Turn On Besigye Rally Venue

Forum for Democratic Change presidential candidate, Dr. Kizza Besigye's rally in Arua has been moved to Boma Grounds.
Arua District Police Commander, Jonathan Musinguzi says the decision was reached in a meeting with Besigye's mobilization team in West Nile.
The meeting agreed that Besigye holds a rally in Arua Hill Boma Grounds on Wednesday, on condition that the rally ends at 6:00pm to allow the crusade team from Arua Pentecostal Church.
 
Bruce Musema, an FDC mobilizer who is coordinating Besigye's visit to Arua says the Arua Golf Grounds was small and bushy.
Musema says they will now go ahead to put up a pavilion at Arua Hill Boma Grounds ahead of Besigye's rally on Wednesday.
Earlier on Monday, Arua Municipal authorities and police said Arua Hill Boma Grounds had been booked for a crusade, and the venue for Besigye's rally was moved to Arua Golf Grounds.
Besigye arrives in Arua on Tuesday for his campaigns, and will address the main rally on Wednesday in Arua Municipality.
