The In charge of Luwero Central Market Police post, two veterans and an informer have been arrested for leaking operation details to ‘B-13’ the most wanted group of gangsters in the district.
The In charge identified as Corporal Hussein Saddam Ssewaka, andhis accomplices David Ntege Kula, William Kaweesi and Charles Wasswa are all attached to Luweero Central Police Station.
The Officers were arrested on Tuesday evening for allegedly revealing police information to Bad Boys 13 (B-13) a notorious group of gangsters who are wanted for robberies, burglary, possession of drugs and murdering their own member Denis Ssesanga after disagreeing recently in sharing the loot.
The Luwero District Police Commander Godfrey Ninsiima says the officers were arrested after residents intimated to police that the officers were conniving with the notorious B-13 gangsters in exchange for money and Marijuana.
He adds that whenever police mounted operations to arrest the gangsters, they could flee before security personnel arrived at the scene creating a complex situation for the security personnel and foiling police efforts to defuse the group.
