Policemen deployed to patrol the Northern Bypass at night have been accused of soliciting for bribes from people who want to use the road.
The construction of the Northern Bypass, which circles Kampala City, is almost complete, but it has not yet been opened to motor traffic. Policemen were deployed to patrol the road after numerous reports that thugs were taken advantage of the empty stretch to rob pedestrians.
Now several people who use the road are complaining about two patrol points
