In short
Muhammad Kateregga, the Bukomansimbi LC V Chairperson, asked the leaders to mobilize residents to work on village roads under the community service arrangement to minimize maintenance costs that they cannot foot at the moment.

Sub county leaders in Bukomansimbi district have decried low budget allocations for the maintenance of access roads in their area.

Led by Paul Kato Nsaso, the Kitanda Sub County LC III Chairperson, the leaders observe that many access roads in the areas of jurisdiction are poorly maintained due to lack of funds.

According to Kato, the district has for quite some time been allocating each of the four sub counties Shillings 8 million for road maintenance, which is too little compared to the size of the works.

Nsaso raised their concern during the commissioning of the Kikuuta-Makukuulu road works at the tune of Shillings 54 million on Tuesday.

The leaders demand that the district reviews its allocation to the sub counties to enable deliver better service to the electorate.
