Latigo won the poll with 14,079 votes to become the first member of Parliament for the newly created Agago North constituency. His challenger, a member of the ruling National Resistance Movement party polled 10,420 votes.

Former Leader of Opposition in Parliament Prof. Morris Ogenga Latigo bounces back to parliament after defeating his main rival Okot John Amos.

Latigo won the poll with 14,079 votes to become the first member of Parliament for the newly created Agago North constituency. His challenger, a member of the ruling National Resistance Movement party polled 10,420 votes. 

Independent candidate Ojera Jackson Abucu  polled 1,984 votes.

Ogenga was declared victor by Rashid Hasakya, the Agago district Returning Officer this evening.

Latigo was a Member of Parliament for Agago county and the Leader of Opposition in the eighth Parliament before he lost the seat to Okot in the 2011 general election.
