The Uganda Rugby Cranes will this afternoon host Tunisia in their third match of the 2017 Africa Rugby Gold Cup.

Action will take place at the Legends Club, Lugogo where head coach John Duncan's team will be all out to pick a comfortable victory to keep close to table leaders Namibia and second placed Kenya who also play today.

"We cannot afford to suffer defeat here. We need to attack the opponents for the entire game and be able to score as many tries as possible," Duncan told URN. Uganda started the campaign with a 33-33 draw away to Kenya before they managed a narrow 17-16 win away in Senegal.

Although the Uganda Rugby Cranes are poised to win against a side that was last year in the lower Tier, they will have to play without Marvin Odongo, Scot Oluoch and Cyrus Wathum.

But Tunisia's national rugby team coach, Hedi Mohamedali said although they respect Uganda, they will be out to prove a point. "Our target in this group is to avoid relegation and therefore we want to play a better game than the one against Kenya last weekend," he added. Kenya humbled Tunisia 100-10 last weekend in Nairobi.

Team captain Saif Bousaada who plies his trade in England said it is unfortunate some of their players are injured. "We shall give a good account of our selves because it is important to carry the national flag high," he added. The other players Amhed Nasri, Nacer Missaoui and Hamdi Michri are also expected to play pivotal roles for the Tunisian team.

In 2009 Tunisia defeated Uganda in Kampala 41-17 and followed it with a 38-13 win in Tunis to dent Uganda's hopes in the 2011 World Cup qualifier.

While Uganda is third on the log with 6 points, Namibia who hosts Zimababwe this weekend are top with 10 points and Kenya are second with 8 points.
