A three man advance team from Senegal has sneaked into the country head of Uganda’s World qualifier against the Terenga Lions stars on Saturday.

A three man advance team from Senegal has arrived in the country head of Uganda’s World qualifier against the Terenga Lions stars on Saturday. The advance team includes Ferdinand Coly, Senegal’s former International and professional defender. Uganda hosts the Terenga Lions this Saturday in a Group J match of the 2014 World Cup qualifier.

The Terenga Lions lead the group after their 3-1 victory over Liberia last weekend, although the Cranes who held Angola to a 1-all draw will be eager to win at home. Rogers Mulindwa, the spokesman Federation of Uganda Football Associations-FUFA says the Senegalese have sent an advance team because they are not taking any chances.

Mulindwa says that despite the fact that the Senegalese advance team has arrived, FUFA is yet to receive any visitors’ travel and accommodation details while in Uganda.  The World Football governing body rules provide that under World Cup qualifying matches, the visiting team takes care of its accommodation costs.

The host federation is however charged with the provision of internal transport and a training ground on top of receiving the visitors on arrival at the airport. The Senegal Football Federation on Monday submitted a list of 49 people including players and officials. Mulindwa says that they are left in suspense as to when the Senegalese team arrives in the country so as to dispatch the protocol team on time to officially receive them.

The Senegal contingent includes Augustin Senghor, Louis Lamotte, Cheikh Seck, Aliounde Mbaye, Boubacar Ba, Thieyacine Diagne, Marie Koto, Abdoukarime Diouf, Aliou Cisse, Ferdinand Coly, Fallou Cisse, Mama Goumbala, Mor Seck, Enguerran Housez, Mamadou Faye, Gaspard Gomis, Ibou Diatta, Cheikh Tidiane, Mamadou Kante, Oumar Gaye and Therno Dioum.
