Abdul Kitimbo, Ssembabule District Police Commander is in trouble for his involvement in the grabbing of 54.3 hectares of land belonging to a resident. Michael Wasswa accuses Kitimbo of shielding Kezekia Kankibaho who grabbed his land that is located at Bugoobe village in Ntuusi Sub County.

Wasswa who claims to be in possession of a land title claims that Kankibabo processed a fake land title showing that he owns the land. He accuses the DPC of protecting Kankibaho when he reported the matter to Ntuusi police post.  Wasswa claims that he bought the disputed land in 2005 before he was transferred to Kasese district for business.

He says Kankibabo took advantage of his absence to settle on his land and has frustrated all his attempts to evict him. Benon Kasosoriya, Bugoobe village LC1 Chairman says that disputed land belongs to Wasswa but does not know how Kankibaho acquired it. As a result, Wasswa has petitioned Masaka High court to evict Kankibaho from the land.

Wasswa wants High court to cancel Kankibaho’s title saying it was forged. Abdul Kitimbo, Ssembabule District Police Commander denies any involvement in the land dispute saying that he is falsely being accused.
