Experienced attacking midfielder Mike Sserumaga will miss the Vipers SC's crucial second leg Total CAF Confederations Cup preliminary round clash away to Club Volcan De Moroni on Saturday.

The former Swedish based professional was not part of the Vipers SC team that traveled on Thursday morning.  Head coach Richard Wasswa told URN before departure that Sserukuma failed a late fitness test. "It is disappointing that Sserumaga cannot be part of the team again after missing the first leg," said Wasswa.

Club Volcan De Moroni held Vipers SC to a goalless draw last weekend and the Ugandan side now need to win the game to be able to qualify for the first round.

"Although we failed to score goals in the first leg last weekend, we are more than hungry to go win the game in Comoros," added Vipers SC head coach Wasswa.

Team captain Nicholas Wadada explained that although they failed to win the first leg match, they are more than determined to take their chances in Comoros and qualify for the next round of the competition.

Wadada, who was part of the Uganda Cranes squad at the just ended Total Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) said they know what to expect in Comoros since some of them played against their national team last year.

In-case Vipers SC qualify they will face the winner between Mozambique's Uniao do Songo and Platinium Stars of South Africa. KCCA FC are Uganda's representatives in the Total CAF Champions League.
