Three pupils of Limoto primary school in Pallisa district are missing after they drowned at Limoto swamp, along Pallisa Tirinyi road on Thursday evening.
 
Mathias Turyasingura, the Pallisa district police commander, identifies the victims as Augustine Omudong, 12, Sulaiman Ziraba 7 and Birari Mujoji aged eight years.
  
Omudong is a son of Charles Osoto a resident of Okutai village in Putiputi sub county, while Ziraba is a son of Sulaiman Ziraba of Kasasa village in Putiputi sub county in Pallisa district. Mujoji on the other hand is a son of Swaibu Bwiire a resident of Natooto 'A' village in Buseta sub county, Kibuku district.
  
Turyasingura says all the three were primary two pupils of Limoto primary school. He noted that police is investigating the circumstances under which they left school.
  
He blamed the community along Limoto swamp for being irresponsible as children are left to go fishing and swimming on their own.
  
John Francis Okuma, the district education officer regretted the incident but declined to make further comments saying he needed to get details from the head teacher.
  
Rose Amuge, a teacher at Limoto primary school explains that on Thursday morning the three children left the school premises at 1:00 pm and went back to their respective homes.
  
Charles Osoto a father to one of the missing children has asked police to investigate the matter.
