According to Ekudo, the thugs waylaid him on his way home in Gweri sub-county in Soroti district around 3:00am Wednesday morning.

The Soroti District Forum for Democratic Change-FDC Party Secretary, Tom Julius Ekudo is nursing wounds at Dr. Plaza in Soroti town following an attack by unidentified thugs.   


  
He sustained injuries on his hands and knees as he tried to fight off the attackers. 




According to Ekudo, the thugs waylaid him on his way home in Gweri sub-county in Soroti district around 3:00am Wednesday morning.

He had just returned from Kampala where he attends some lectures by bus when he was attacked. 



Ekudo says he opted to use Boda boda transport back home after failing to retrieve his vehicle at Atoti Pump fuel station where he left it on his way to Kampala.  



He says four thugs trapped the motorcycle he was using with a rope and threw them down, three kilometers away from Soroti town.  



The thugs reportedly made off with the Boda boda motorcycle Ekudo had hired to take him back home from Soroti town.       




Rose Akello, a resident of Soroti town, says thefts have become rampant in Soroti. 



He calls upon police to swing into action to stem the vice. Michael Odongo, the Easter Kyoga Police Spokesperson, says no suspect has been arrested in connection to the attack.
