Tight Security As Court Renders Judgment on Pastor “Kiwedde”

Security at Kalisizo Grade One Magistrates court has been stepped up as residents, mainly Catholic faithful, vow to lynch Pastor William Muwanguzi “Kiwedde if court acquits him.
 
Both armed policemen and prison officers have been deployed in and outside the fully packed courtroom.  

The irate residents include those who Kiwedde conned of their money worth more than 1,500,000 shillings.
 
Muwanguzi and his co-accused Julius Mukasa posed as Catholic priests from Kenya and organized an unauthorized Charismatic Renewal prayer service with intent to extort money from the faithful.
 
However, on 9th November 203, during their arrest at Nabisere Hotel in Kalisizo town council, their accomplice whom police only identified as Rogers disappeared with the money collected from the faithful.
 
Police is yet to track down this elusive Rogers.
 
By 8.30am this morning, crowds of people from all walks of life had arrived at Kalisizo Magistrates Court to hear the judgment. Some openly vowed to lynch Muwanguzi if court acquits him of the charges of impersonation.
 
These threats of violence have prompted police and prison wardens to beef up security.
 
Court is in progress and Susan Awidi, the presiding magistrate, will pronounce her judgement for the two cases of impersonation and, attempted escape from prison against Muwanguzi and Mukasa.
