Midfielder Victor Wanyama will lead Kenya's Harambee Stars in an International friendly against Uganda Cranes on Tuesday at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

The Kenyan team will have eight foreign based players for the game including Wanyama who plays for English Premiership side Tottenham Hotspurs. Ugand and Kenya will use the game to prepare for the last group games of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers.

Coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic's team will host Comoros in a crucial Afcon qualifier on Sunday, while Kenya who are virtually out of contention for a place in Africa's biggest football showpiece will face Zambia.

After playing in the 1-all draw against Liverpool FC in an English Premier League game on Saturday, Kenya's skipper Wanyama traveled straight to Nairobi. The other players who will be part of the Harambee Stars team include the trio of Jesse Were, Anthony Akumu and David Owino who have guided Zambia's Zesco to the semi finals of the CAF Champions League.

Sredojevic told URN on Sunday that they will take the build-up very strongly because it will determine which players are ready for the Sunday game.

Victory for Uganda Cranes in the Group D game against Comoros will see them qualify for the 2017 Afcon to take place in Gabon. Uganda last appeared in the Afcon competition in 1978.

Professional players Yunus Sentamu, Dennis Onyango, William Luwagga Kizito and Moses Oloya among others are in the camp for the game.
