Police in Luweero have arrested two juveniles for alleged murder.

The two boys both aged 11-years were arrested on Monday in connection with the murder of a 12-year-old boy.
Yusuuf Ssewanyana, a son of Paul Sbuyira, residents of Luttula village in Butuntumula Sub-County, died shortly after he intervened to try and seperate the two boys who he found fighting  in Luttula trading center.

The boys allegedly hit him hard in the stomach resulting into death.

Eye witnesses say that the boy was actually trying to separate the two fighting boys when they instead turned against him and beat him up.

The father to the deceased says his son died just as he was being rushed to Kasana hospital.

The minors however say that they did not intend to kill their friend.

David Otim Opio, the criminal investigations officer, says the matter has been brought to the attention of the resident state attorney for advice.  He says the decision to charge or not to charge the minors will depend on the RSA.
