Two Traders Killed in Kyegegwa Accident

Two people have been killed and seventeen others severely injured in a road accident in Kyegegwa district.

The accident took place at Ruseri along the Kyegegwa- Ibanda road on Friday night. The truck registration number UAG 180B,  which was carrying traders to Ruseri market in Mpara Sub County, overturned several times after the driver failed to break on a steep slope.

Bakari Mugah, the Rwenzori region police spokesperson identified the dead as William Kayongo a resident of Nakaseka village in Mubende district and Harriet Magezi from Mityana district.

The injured traders with cuts and broken limbs were admitted to Mubende Hospital while the driver of the truck Julius Ntege was rushed to Mulago hospital in critical condition.
