The game played ahead of the Uganda Cranes-Mauritania encounter in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier at the same Stadium saw the hosts take a 1-0 first half lead with Shaban Muhammad scoring early in the 10 minute.
The home side continued to dominate with several shots at goal, but to no avail. Kevin Muhire had two of his shots for Rwanda Junior Wasps stopped by Ugandan goalkeeper Erick Kibowa.
On resumption the hosts pushed forward in serach for more goals and did not disappoint their fans. Pius Obuya made it 2-0 in the 61st minute with a well taken shot, while Julius Poloto put the Uganda Cubs further ahead six minutes later.
Uganda’s Coach Mathias Lule introuduced Musa Mukalazi who made it 4-0 with his first touch 86th minute. Abeddy Biramahire also came on for Rwanda to replace Djabel Manishimwe, but to no avail.
Rwanda’s Danny Niyogira and Jean Marie Vianney Uwase were booked, while Uganda had Emmanuel Olinga yellow carded.
The winning team after two legs will face Zambia in the game that will determine which team qualifiers for the 2015 Africa Youth Championship to take place in Niger.
