"We have agreed that we play Libya on January 1st and Tunisia three days later as part of our build-ups ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon)," Coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic told URN on Wednesday.

Uganda who qualified for the Afcon event after 39 years of waiting have also confirmed they will face African champions Ivory Coast on January 12th in Dubai, UAE.


He said facing a strong teams like Libya and Tunisia will give them a good feel of facing a teams from North Africa. Uganda are grouped alongside Egypt, Ghana and Mali for the 2017 Afcon and will be based in Port Gentil when the event runs January 14 to February 5th.


Sredojevic said the team will camp in Dubai to enjoy top class facilities in Al Wasl. However, the training camp in Dubai and the friendly games will only take place if the government acts quickly to finance the trips.
