Evacuated Ugandan Knocked Dead in Amuru

A speeding bus has knocked dead one of the Ugandans evacuated from South Sudan. The dead has been identified as Fred Jamil. 

He was riding a motorcycle alongside the convoy ferrying other Ugandans from South Sudan when he was knocked by a bus belonging to Crown coaches registration number UAN281Z at Wili Wili village in Bibia in Amuru district.

 
The bus was part of the many ferrying Ugandans from South Sudan from Elegu border point. Police have impounded the bus and towed it to Bibia police station. Jamil's body is laying at Bibia Health Center III awaiting postmortem.

Martin Okoba, the LC I Bibia East Village says Jamil was riding on the left side when he was knocked dead by the bus. Patrick Jimmy Okema, the Aswa Regional Police Spokesperson, confirmed the accident, saying none of the people on the bus was affected.

The third batch of Ugandans evacuated from South Sudan comprised of 3000 people started arriving in the country at 2:30pm.
