On Saturday, security authorities in Karamoja sub region held across border meeting with their Kenyan counterparts under the leadership of the 5th division UPDF commander, Brigadier Sam Kavuma over the raids.
Details of the meeting were not readily available by the time of filing this story. There has been increase in the cattle raids since this year begun.
In January 2016, UPDF impounded 150 cows from the Turkana Community in Kenya following a raid on Nakapelimoru and Panyangara in Kotido district in December where 214 animals belonging to the Jie community were stolen.
