The Uganda Young Democrats are planning to hold a parallel delegate's conference, unless the Democratic Party addresses their concerns. Brenda Nabukenya, the UYD minister of social welfare says that the youths wing of DP has suffered from several problems caused by the administrative weaknesses in the mother party. Nabukenya says UYD is opposed to the Inter-party alliance which is likely to be supported by the Democratic Party Delegates Conference. "Cue in: I want to assure them#" "Cue out: #much more results right now." According to Nabukenya since DP has been in existence for the last 54 years, it can stand on its own without joining alliances. However the DP spokeswoman Betty Nambooze recently blamed DP's failure to join the Interparty Alliance Coalition to internal divisions.
